Wise Marine is an ecologically minded business and supports the guidelines set forth by the American Boating Association.  We are located in an environmentally sensitive area and must adhere to all environmental regulations.

To ensure that Wise Marine stays “green” and NO pollutants are spilled from the engine or bilge of any boats, please follow these Ground Rules when bringing your boat to our yard:

1. Please remove dirty bilge water from your boat before you arrive - it can not be pumped onto the ground at Wise Marine.  Any oil, gas, solvents, or polluted waste water can be disposed of properly by Wise Marine for a fee.

2. All engine work must be done by Wise Marine, unless otherwise arranged beforehand with the office. Please inform us right away if there are any leak problems with the engine which could spill oil or fuel on the ground.

3. When cleaning your boat at Wise Marine, don’t use soap, or use very little “green” soap.

4. Please check with Wise Marine before sanding and painting your boat at our yard.
